LOCTITE® 218™ is a medium-low strength, pre-applied threadlocker. The pre-applied film is dry to the
touch and remains an inert coating until the time of assembly. The microcapsules contained in the coating break during assembly, releasing an active ingredient that initiates the polymerisation process. Typical applications aim to prevent the loosening of threaded fastenings. Particularly suitable for situations in which the
threaded parts must be ready for immediate use in an adhesive joint in a high-volume production environment, where it may not be possible to use a liquid product. After polymerisation, the product
also acts as a sealant.

LOCTITE® DRI 2045™ is a medium-high strength pre-applied threadlocker with good compatibility with a variety of substrates, designed especially to meet the demands of automotive specifications.
It is suitable for use on flat and passivated metal surfaces. This product presents good resistance to heat and a thermal ageing capacity of up to 220°C as well as good resistance to solvents.
